Uttarakhand Aapada Rahat Manch
After 50 days of Uttarakhand Disaster, we have found that state machinery has failed to deliver. Thousands of people have died and the life of more than lakhs have been ruined due to the tragic disaster of June 2013. Due to lack of relief work people's in many villages are at the verge of starvation. Pregnant women have no such facilities to deliver her baby safely and many died before reaching any health center. Medical facilities are nil in the affected areas.
Uttarakhand Aapada Rahat Manch consisting several mass organizations i.e. Krantikari Lok Adhikar Sangathan, Progressive Medicos Forum, Inqulabi Mazdoor Kendra, Pragatisheelmahila Ekta Kendra,PACHHAS and Nagarik Adhikaron ko samarpit , fortnightly news paper is running medical camp in affected areas. In addition to that many other social groups and people's initiative have carried out relief work.
Now the question of rehabilitation of those who have lost their , houses, land, animals and other livelihood is required to be addressed urgently. The question of reconstruction of Uttarakhand is also a very important issue.
To discuss all these questions , we under the banner of Uttarakhand Aapada Manch is going to organize a talk on all these issues. You are invited to discuss these issues.
