People's movements are facing unprecedented repression not witnessed in recent past. This bourgeois state is violating its own norms and written constitution. 'Rule of law' is long established principle , however we see that it is always ignored when people's movement armed with constitutional rights pose a challenge to anti-people state policies . Whether, it is movement against price-rise, demand for basic facilities i.e. water, power, education , employment or against corporate plunder of natural resources, trade union rights, state response is almost same.
Recently , when women, students and other democratic organisations were protesting against Delhi gang rape case at India Gate , a curfew like situation was created. In the entire new Delhi district section 144 of Cr.P.C. was imposed in order to clamp the entire area. 55000 activists who were opposing nuclear project in Kudankulam in Tamilnadu were booked under sedition law , those who are opposing plunder of natural resources is being subjected to 'oppression green hunt'. Industrial workers have been ruined with protection they were having under pre-liberalization era of so-called welfare state .
